St. John's Lutheran Church & School operates an Early Childhood Program available to the community. With various program options, the Early Childhood Program aims to meet the growing needs of students and families by providing infant, toddler, preschool, and Before and After Care. Students complete the program well prepared for Kindergarten and most importantly learn about Jesus, their Savior.
St. John's Early Childhood is fully licensed by the State of Michigan, Department of Human Services for the Care of Children in accordance with Act 116, Public Acts of 1973, as amended, being the Child Care Organizations Act for ages Birth - 12 years.
St. John's Lutheran School admits the students of any race, color, or national or ethnic origin, and offers to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students of the school. St.John's Lutheran School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship programs and other school-administered programs.
Our Curriculum is built around various units and themes that are relevant to the different age groups of each child. The activities in the units cover goals and objectives, including the Early Learning Expectations (ELE's) of the Michigan Early Childhood Standards of Quality appropriate for children of this age. It is vitally important that children have a classroom in which the teacher will meet their needs spiritually, socially, mentally, physically, emotionally, and artistically. Most of all, children need to feel loved and they are a unique child of God and loved by Jesus. Children learn and grow so much during their early years and we are thrilled to share this wonderful time with our families!
